NATICK –-  Members of the Natick community praised Stonegate Group, a Natick-based real estate development group, for their willingness to address the concerns and fears raised by the abutters of their recently acquired Saint Patrick parish grounds. At a December 2nd open meeting of abutters, Stonegate unveiled their current design for the long underutilized property.  This comes after months of consulting with concerned Natick residents.

Initially designed to be a mixed-use development with 74 residential units in addition to retail space, the Stonegate Group, together with architectural firm, Finegold Alexander Architects, have tailored their design to include an underground parking garage with a minimum of 130 spaces, 66 residential units and approximately 13,000 square feet of retail and/or restaurant space.

“We have listened to their concerns, and have acted on them,” explained Sean McGrath, president of Stonegate.

In order to address security concerns, Stonegate also intends to add a CCTV camera system that will provide 24-hour surveillance.

“We have also added fencing to protect the abutters’ properties and have scaled back our initial design to honor their wishes,” McGrath said.

According to McGrath, a 3-D model of their proposal will be available for the public to view at their Natick office after December 16th.

“We welcome anyone who wishes to see this model to stop in,” McGrath said.

Stonegate plans to seek Town Meeting approval this spring for the zoning changes required to proceed with this prominent mixed-use development.
