13 & 15 Marlborough Street

This tree-lined first block of Marlborough Street is perhaps one of the most elegant
neighborhoods in Boston.

Overview

Charles Kirby, the architect of the original Boston Public Library, built the two distinctive five-story residences at 13 & 15 Marlborough Street in the French-inspired Brick Academic style in 1864.

Keeping with the elegant tradition first established by Mr. Kirby, Stonegate, in collaboration with Ahern-Schopfer and Associates Architects, redesigned these two historic structures into one single building in 2004.
